Chronology of cameras Ricoh
This camera is exactly the same as the Ricoh RZ 600 which Ricoh tells us can be recognised by the blue line around the lens. It is in fact a simplified form of the Myport Zoom mini also known as the Shotmaster Ultra Zoom and the FF10.
There were only a small number of One Take cameras, and they seem to have been a cheaper line created by modifying existing models, for sale largely in north America. This one differs from the original three by the omission of the ‘modes’ for night landscape, continuous frames and TV screen.
With some minor cosmetic variations, this camera has the same lens, shutter speeds, and dimensions as its three predecessors, which according to Ricoh, were the smallest cameras with a zoom lens in the market at the time of their release. An interesting comparison (in size) can be made with the Pentax Zoom 60X released about a year earlier.
